Concept/Objective

1. To explore more on Istana Budaya Negara, the Palace of Culture, as it is the platform stage of the best performing arts in Malaysia.
2. To bring a greater and new experience to all the readers on their perception towards Istana Budaya, from all walks of life.
3. We will introduce different categories of events and such that you may find in Istana Budaya. For example: entertainments, space, consulting and others.
4. With thorough research and fieldwork, we will gain more intriguing informations and also great photos to capture the attention of the audience.

5. We are targeting the young adults and adults, their age ranging from 20 to 40.

Group Meetings / Discussion

All meetings are done after our tutorial class which is on Friday 1pm. Other than that, we also communicate through SMS, phone calls, and Facebook messages for brief discussions.

A Brief Introduction

As stated in the previous post, our group assignment is on Istana Budaya Negara.

 The Istana Budaya or The Palace of Culture, was founded in September 1999. It is the country's main venue for all types of theatre. It is located next to the National Art Gallery in Jalan Tun Razak, at the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

 Above is a picture of Istana Budaya, a view from Titiwangsa Lake.

Istana Budaya is among the top ten most sophisticated theatres in the world. It is proud to be the first theatre in Asia equipped with cutting-edge stage and equipment that is on par with the Royal Albert Hall, London.

It is the country's most prominent landmarks with a magnificent architectural design that is based on a blend of various aspects of the Malay culture. Istana Budaya is also equipped with four adjustable stages, which are suitable for staging performances in various forms.

It stages all types of performances including musical theatre, opera, classical concert and others. These astounding  performances are from both local and international artist.

Target Audience
We are targeting the young adults and adults, their age ranging from 20 to 40. Today, with the vast technology and entertainment, people often miss out on the cultural adventures and art appreciation. They are most likely to spend their time on games, social networking and others. We believe that culture is an important element and it is our heritage that should be appreciated. We here to celebrate the culture of Malaysia by exploring Istana Budaya, and thus, bring a new experience to everyone with interactivity which includes photos, videos, chat box and other. By doing this, we hope to inspire and encourage the stated demographic to know more on they culture and heritage.
